History and Mythology :

According to Hindu mythology the temple was will by the Pandavas during the Mahabharata era kedarnath is also arroundes with the story of Adi-shankarchrya who is said to have attained enlightenment here

Apart from the kedarnath temple there are several places vistor can explore in kedarnath

•Gandhi sarovar - it is beutiful lakes located at an altitude 3900meter above sea level the lake named after mahatma gandhi



•vasuki -  it is high altitude lake situated at a 4,135 meter above sea level it is surrounded by snow-capped mountain



• Bhairava Temple - it is small temple located in near kedarnath temple and dedicated to lord bhariva 



•Gaurikund -  starting point og 14 km treak to kedarnath and is home to Gauri Temple

 Food and cuisine 

Kedarnath is known for simple yet delicious cuisine that influnced by Garwahli and kumaoni cusine of religion

Kachmauli - it is popoular dish made with lamb cooked in traditional style with local spice and herb 

Aloo ke Gutke

It is simple yet delicious potato dish the popoular region it made with boiled potato cooked with local species and served rice 

Local snack

 Vistor can also try local snack such a singhori, gugule,and kheer

Weather and best time to vist

Kedarnath has cool and pleasant climate throughout the year with Temperature range From 5*  to 20*C best time to vist Kedarnath is May to June and September to November


                    September to November is also good time to visit kedarnath as the weather is pleasant Temprature range 2*to15*C surrounding Snoe-capped mountains
     

        
  Winter mounth can be great time to visit kedarnath experience heavy snowfall and temp can drop below freezing point
